Just about everyone uses mobile phones today. As such, most of us have dealt with AMR audio files at some point in our lives. AMR audio files are specifically designed for the playback of spoken audio. However, not all devices can play AMR audio files. This makes getting spoken audio files to play on other devices difficult. That is, unless the user can convert the AMR audio file into something that is more universally used, such as an MP3.
This is where AMR to MP3 Converter comes into play. This is an extremely simplistic program to use. Unlike other audio converters, this one has no options. For example, you are not able to choose the quality or bit rate of the converted file. This often results in a drop in the sound quality of the file. On top of that, this program does not convert the AMR file into anything other than an MP3. It is great that the program can deliver on its promise to convert AMR files into MP3 files, but it would have been nice to see a little variety in there as well. The program can, however, work in reverse, converting MP3 files into AMR files.
Another problem is that AMR to MP3 Converter has outlived its usefulness. Most smartphones can turn their own spoken audio files into MP3s. As a result, this program is really only helpful to people who have older phones. However, this program can be used to create custom ringtones for people with older phones since it can convert MP3 files to AMR files. The files will still need to be edited before the conversion since this program lacks any ability to edit.
AMR to MP3 Converter is a useful program that works as advertised. However, its lack of any meaningful features makes it easier for other programs to outshine it.
